The Partnership combines Vionlabs’ specialized video AI with CineSys’ deep integration expertise to help broadcasters and streaming services unlock the full value of their content libraries.
Stockholm, Sweden / Houston, TX - Vionlabs, a media-technology company specializing in AI-driven video analysis, today announced a partnership with CineSys LLC, a leading broadcast and media systems integrator with over 25 years of experience serving digital content creators across North America. The collaboration will make it easier for broadcasters, streaming platforms and content owners to deploy Vionlabs’ suite of AI-powered tools, including deep metadata enrichment, narrative-aware ad break detection and automated preview clip generation, within their existing on-premise and cloud environments.
Media companies today sit on vast content libraries that remain underutilized due to limited metadata and manual workflows. Legacy tagging systems often reduce entire catalogs to broad genre labels, making it difficult for editorial, marketing and analytics teams to surface the right content at the right time. Vionlabs addresses this by using multimodal AI that analyzes video, audio and dialogue simultaneously to understand content at a scene level, capturing mood, pacing, thematic elements and narrative structure in ways that generic models cannot.
CineSys brings decades of hands-on experience designing and deploying complex media infrastructures for some of North America’s largest broadcasters and post-production facilities. As Vionlabs’ integration partner, CineSys will support customers through onboarding and deployment, helping them spin up Vionlabs’ on-premise models within their own secure environments. This is a critical requirement for companies working with unreleased content and sensitive intellectual property.
Proven, measurable impact
The partnership builds on results Vionlabs has already delivered for enterprise streaming clients worldwide. In A/B testing, Vionlabs’ narrative-aware ad break technology, which uses AI to detect scene boundaries and dialogue pauses rather than inserting ads at fixed intervals, drove a 2.5% increase in ad revenue for a major enterprise client compared to conventional random-logic placement. The improvement came from both longer viewing sessions and more effective ad inventory, demonstrating a direct connection between user experience and monetization.
Separately, Vionlabs’ AI-generated preview clips (short, contextually selected video snippets shown when users browse a catalog) produced a 44% increase in titles added to watchlists during A/B testing with a major streaming platform. The clips give viewers a transparent window into what they are about to watch, leading to higher engagement and improved content completion rates.
CineSys on the partnership
“At CineSys, we’re always looking for technologies that solve real problems for our customers. Vionlabs’ approach is exactly that: specialized AI models built for specific media workflows rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. Whether it’s helping a marketing team find every romantic scene across a library for a Valentine’s Day campaign, or enabling an editorial team to curate collections around themes like Black History Month, the depth of understanding these models provide is remarkable. We’re excited to help bring that capability to content creators across North America.”
- Roy Folkman, Director of Technical Sales, CineSys LLC
Vionlabs on scaling creativity with AI
“Our philosophy has always been to use AI to scale creativity, not to replace it. CineSys shares that mindset. They understand media workflows from the ground up, and their engineering depth makes them the ideal partner to help us reach more customers in North America. Together, we’re making it possible for media companies to truly index and understand their content, down to the scene level, so every team, from marketing to analytics, can unlock the value that’s already sitting in their libraries.”
- Arash Pendari, Founder and Creative Director, Vionlabs
What the partnership delivers
Through the partnership, CineSys’ customers will gain access to Vionlabs’ full suite of AI-powered content intelligence tools. Editorial Lab provides deep metadata enrichment that goes beyond traditional genre tagging, analyzing the emotional DNA of content (mood, pacing, intensity, thematic elements) to build a structured, context-aware foundation for discovery, recommendations and analytics. Creative Lab generates optimized visual assets including AI-selected thumbnails and preview clips informed by the same emotional understanding of the content. Additional capabilities include narrative-aware ad break detection that improves viewer experience and ad revenue, binge marker detection for intros, recaps and credits, and scene-level contextual data for targeted advertising with IAB taxonomy mapping and brand safety scoring.
All Vionlabs models are designed to run on-premise within the customers’ own environments, ensuring that content, including unreleased titles and sensitive IP, never needs to leave their infrastructure. CineSys supports and deploys cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments, and also integrates traditional on-premise storage infrastructures. Onboarding is typically completed within one to two weeks.
